Our Air model series is particularly distinguished by the micro-airbag on the wrist, which can be attached beneath the strap. As a result, the strap inflates and can better detect blood pressure in the arteries.

We use the same principle as your regular blood pressure monitor, which is usually placed on the upper arm to record blood pressure. This results in a significantly higher precision compared to ordinary fitness trackers or competitor smartwatches. 

The OSRAM SFH2703 sensors set new standards, non-invasively analyzing blood flow in the top 4 mm of your skin using 680 and 750 nanometer wavelengths as well as 910 nm infrared. At this point, the Kardena® CARE Air 2 stands out significantly from competitors, who often use only a single wavelength and only measure pulse, while other values are estimated.

The OSRAM technology enables an extremely precise measurement of blood oxygen levels, allowing even respiratory rate to be detected. Thanks to the configurable interval, values are automatically recorded throughout the day and can be accessed directly on the watch as a trend chart.

The motion sensor STK8321 has a crucial role in detecting sleep apnea as part of the advanced sleep analysis and is optimally tuned to the latest software of the watch. This ensures precise and effective use of the motion sensor to provide you with the best possible health information.

As part of the Realtek Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) product family, the Realtek 8762DW is designed to enable efficient wireless communication in battery-powered devices. This innovative technology significantly optimizes the CARE Air 2’s connection range and power usage, even with up to 2,000 health measurements per day!

Thanks to its innovative airbag technology, a micro-airbag integrated into the wristband is inflated by the watch in just 20 seconds. The blood pressure is then displayed on the health watch’s screen. The fully automatic synchronization with the smartphone app makes separate documentation of blood pressure and heart rate unnecessary.

Additionally, the Kardena® CARE Air 2 offers all the functions you expect from a modern fitness smartwatch, including respiration rate, blood pressure measurement, direct measurement of blood oxygen, body temperature, pulse, sleep, steps, and more. Up to three external people can access the data via an integrated online care function, such as family members or caregivers.

Artificial Intelligence on the Wrist for Greater Protection

The outstanding accuracy and precision of the Kardena® CARE Air 2 are ensured by the SFH2703, a proven multi-oximeter sensor from OSRAM, a global company headquartered in Munich. This special technology was independently developed by OSRAM for watches at its Regensburg site.

The innovative OSRAM airbag technology enables extremely precise measurement of blood oxygen levels, allowing for respiration rate to be recorded as well. Thanks to the configurable interval, the values are recorded automatically throughout the day and can be called up directly in the Kardena® CARE Air 2 app as trend charts.

Another exclusive feature of the Kardena® CARE Air 2 is the automated body temperature monitoring via the integrated Sensyling Sensor CT1711 ARRAY, with a daily trend chart also available in the app.

Custom alarm functions can be set to indicate a threshold for body temperature and fever or for elevated heart rate. The 3-axis motion sensor from Sensortek Technology Corp. enables the logging of activities, including sleep and steps.

The second-generation health watch is suitable both for self-care and for care functions — especially with regard to making health data available to family members, regardless of their physical distance from the wearer.

The health watch also features a comprehensive range of smartwatch functions, including the display of incoming calls, receiving messages via various messengers like social media, SMS, and WhatsApp, as well as a step counter and reminder function.

Perfect fit: Kardena® CARE Air 2 with care function

The available wristbands for the Kardena® CARE Air 2 have a standard width of 22 mm and fit wrist sizes up to 26 cm. Kardena customers can choose from about a dozen straps and two watch displays. Strap materials range from TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) in blue, red, and black to vegan leather in light brown, dark brown, and black, and elegant metal or Milanese straps in black or silver with magnetic clasps. 

All text on the health watch display and in the app is exclusively in German. Thanks to the stable-view, bright IPS display, the watch is clearly readable in all situations. Operation is easy via familiar swipe gestures from smartphones directly on the IPS display.

The Kardena® CARE Air 2, at only 13 mm thick, features an optimal unisex design and with a diameter of approx. 47 mm is equally suitable for both women and men. The package includes the German-language app with future updates as well as licenses for up to three additional users for external use in care functions.
